Vitra Campus, Weil am Rhein, Germany. August 10, 2016

We crossed the border to Germany to visit the "Mecca of Design": The Vitra Campus.

The Vitra Campus is located in Weil am Rhein at the border triangle of Switzerland, Germany and France. It showcases a great variety of contemporary structures from world renowned architects that contrasts and blends at the same time within themselves and the environment.

VitraHaus, designed and built by Herzog & de Meuron is the company showroom, here you can view and buy the entire Vitra collection of classics as well as the latest designs.

Vitra and the Vitra Design Museum have the exclusive rights for most of the great classics for their production and sale and hold the estates of prominent designers.

You can explore arrangements, try out furniture and objects from world renowned designers and find your own inspiration.

A true "candy store" for Isabelle.

We enjoyed the tour of the Vitra Campus, admiring buildings and structures from Renzo Piano, Carsten Höller,  Zaha Hadid, Herzog & de Meuron and Frank Gehry.

The Vitra Slide Tower designed by Carsten Höller in 2014 is an interactive art installation that makes you feel like Superman.

Isabelle found the "CarpetHammock" by Reuber Henning for another recharging pause.
