Hi.

Welcome to our blog. We document our adventures in travel, places, and people. Hope you have a nice stay!

October road trip to LES VOILES de ST TROPEZ

October road trip to LES VOILES de ST TROPEZ

Our first day we stop to 2 most beautiful villages in France: Saint-Cirq-Lapopie

to arrive at our first stop in Bernac for 2 nights at Domaine La Monestarié, a few miles from Albi. A very charming and very welcoming, fun heaven.

Albi has a lot to offer, starting with The Sainte Cécile Cathedral

and the Toulouse Lautrec museum

great walking along the Tarn river

and some excellent restaurants: Alchemy, l’Epicurien…

Near by, Penne is definitely worth the drive

Next stop Aix en Provence to visit the Vasarely Fondation

“Belle Isle”

We arrived in La Garde Frenet where Véronique & Michel where hosting us during Les Voiles de St tropez

First we meet the Team for lunch: Jacques, Hervé & Dominique and their skipper

then some hiking with Caroline in Gigaro

Followed by well deserved drinks at the new fashionable Lilly of the Valley

Then 2 days of crazy fun following the races

The Pippa Team

More hiking

Grimaud

The Gang! Véronique, Michel, Nathalie & Stéphane

Time to leave St Tropez and our friends after an amazing week.

En route to Moustiers, we stayed at La Bastide de Moustiers par Alain Ducasse. From there we will drive to The Verdon Gorge https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verdon_Gorge . Beautiful from the top to bottom! La corniche sublime:

Le point sublime, la route des crêtes,

Moustiers Sainte Marie famous for its faïence is a very touristy but charming village.

Always exciting to drive on the Millau Viaduct

to Rodez our last stop before Ars. A lot to visit here:

The Soulages Museum with a special exhibit of its last works

The Fenaille Museum

hosting the largest collection of statues menhir in Europe

and excellent restaurants: Bras & Hervé Busset

Meanwhile… in Mexico…
