Our New Home - Miami Beach - October 2018 to June 2019
After over two years of nomadic life, we were very excited to take our furnitures and “stuff” out of the public storage and move into our new apartment.
We love our new place located on Belle Island in Miami Beach with unique views of the Miami skyline that changes all the time and provides us great entertainment.
We start we both of us having sinus surgery, the same day… Here we are recuperating and then being pampered at Beryl & Rex H.
But our greatest pleasure comes from being close to our family. Charlotte and Isabelle are growing fast, having fun with their parents, going to the pumpkin patch, getting dressed up for Halloween. The family was costumed as a garden. The girls are flowers, Danielle is a bumble-bee and Arthur the sun! We also celebrate Halloween with some neighbors.
There is nothing like being Grandparents! Making apple tart, taking the trolley to the playground, riding the cart and reading stories.

We also treasure our weekly FaceTime connection with Agathe who is living the life in Bali. Agathe is gradually settling in her new occupation as yoga instructor and clearly enjoys the Balinese beauty and peacefulness.
Cannot wait to be with her soon: We just booked our flights to go visit Agathe in Bali next March.
A quick trip to Austin to visit our friends and take care of some “business”. We were lucky to be able to visit the “Waller Creek Show” with Ann & Rocco and Patrick Dougherty Stickwork installations in Pease Park on our way back home where Chris was very busy…
Fabulous fall weather to go on a walk with Joëlle and to the Laguna Gloria Sculpture Garden we love! Always happy to see all the arts of these artists: Elmgreen & Dragset “Watching”, Tom Friedman (33’) “Tall Man”, Ugo Rondinone “The True”, Wangechi Mutu “Water Woman” and many more with our deer friends Ann & Rocco and Teresa and their dogs.
We are back in time to celebrate Thanksgiving with A&D and the girls and their friends. The girls are having fun with Maxence P.
Michèle & Jean-Pierre A. take us on their boat for a tour of the new enormous cruise ships!
Our “very old friend” François L. Vuitton is here from Paris to introduce his wine collection, we are invited for a very special dinner at Dune at Auberge Beach in Fort Lauderdale. A very fun evening with François, Laure, Anne and Guillaume!!!

Teresa & Gary E. are visiting from Austin, we took them to Wynwood, shopping in the Design district, and to have dinner at Mandolin Aegean Bistro and prepared them for grand parenthood… Gary is a very fast learner!
The year event the most awaited by the girls… Christmas!!! The 24 lunch at our place and on Xmas day at A&D house with their close friends. Always great to get to see them every year. But first knee surgery for Arthur…
Malou F. and John T. are spending the week in Miami so we are enjoying having lunch with them at The Lido in The Standard Hotel across the street from our building.
We celebrate the new year 2019 with the girls sleeping over. We all made it only to the first fireworks of the night! Charlotte was so excited she ran across the glass doors!
The new year brings us some new visitors: Salima & Damien J. and their four children, Sabina & Carolina F. with her daughter and our niece Elsa M. St G. and Virgile. And we celebrate King’s Day!
The girls are used to sleep over and we love that! They are fascinated by our apartment views:

Everyone is traveling so much that we are very fortunate to be able to get together with old friends from INSEAD: Marco F., Beryl L., Eric F. along we the spouses… Great fun!
We are so happy to have the yearly visit of our friends from the North… Debbie & Joe V. Doing the NYT cross words, shopping, napping by the pool and chatting on the beach and going to the Fairchild Botanical Garden.
Yeah! Ann P. & Rocco S. are coming… First time they visit us in Miami. So we show them around the Beach, The Standard, the traditional Wynwood tour, etc
And we celebrate Arthur’s birthday altogether!
We make new friends at Jose & Bill, others with whom Pierre goes sailing: Teetah & Joaquín V. and Mar & John L. Isabel W. and Martin E. come to visit, we go again to The PAMM together (great visit with Isabel who knows so much about art!), have a great dinner at a very good, fun restaurant with an amazing deco: Chotto Matte. Jim L. & Paul H. are also visiting from Austin on their way to a cruise… So much fun also with Marie & Marcel F.. visiting from Naples FL.

Meanwhile Agathe is in India and A&D have some time off to enjoy themselves!
We are baby sitting Isabelle because she is sick and can’t go to daycare… Not so sick :)… We go to the new Institute of Contemporary Art in the Design district with Catherine & François P. who visit every year from NYC. Always fun to discover new places!

Charlotte is turning 4 !!!! Big party in a park with friends and family, a 6’ sandwich and a cake with surprises inside! Yummy! Charlotte got a bike, a bathing suit, lots of toys and bracelets from recycled plastic from the ocean. And the next day a very special yoga class.
Before leaving for Bali we celebrate our anniversary by going to Nu Deco Ensemble Global Cuba Fest concert (the kids xmas present). Amazing bands: Yusa and Joachim Horsley. And a beautiful dinner at The Sirenuse.

Everyone enjoy the beach, the pool and Mother’s Day! We had a wonderful day at the kids with a very yummy brunch!
