Winter in Miami. December 20, 2017
This year Charlotte will really be able to enjoy Christmas. She is however a bit scared of Santa Claus: Who leaves a stranger get into your house at night??? Not Charlotte! The cookies and milk will be set outside... Luckily we are in Florida.
On Christmas Eve, we went on walks and played, rode the tricycle, visited Buddha, staying busy but clearly the excitement was building...
Christmas day: Yes, the magic happened! Santa brought overnight chocolates, dolls, games, bikes, clothings and so much more... Later in the day we celebrated Christmas with friends.
We are really fortunate to spend so much time with the girls and watch them grow. In a couple weeks, Agathe will visit us from Colombia and stay for 10 days! So happy! We did not see her in 6 months!
We Picked up Agathe at the airport. She is arriving from the wilderness of Colombia and after 6 months in the jungle, she must feels a bit like "Un Indien dans la ville" minus the Arc de Triumph and plus the Pugs.....
Arrived at home, the first priority is a massive wash with multiple machine cycles and a living room transformed into a laundry room...
The Pugs also need a good wash as well but they seem very happy to be back in civilization, they are clearly "Private Dogs". It has been so long since we have been by a fridge.....
Nothing like a family breakfast around the delicious Açai Bowls prepared by Bella to reacquaint yourself with comfort!!
Together we visited the newly reopened Bass Museum of Art with its amazing totem in front by Ugo Rondidone called "Miami Mountain". The Museum is showing a large Ugo Rondidone exhibit: Good Evening Beautiful Blue as well as Pascale Marthine Tayou: Beautiful and Mika Rottenberg.
This day we celebrated Arthur 35th Birthday!
Very grateful we were together to celebrate Arthur!
Shortly after, Agathe is off to Bali where she became a yoga instructor. Very proud of her!
This year again our friends from NYC and some from Paris came to warm up to our sun. We visited The Wynwood Walls of course! Had an amazing diner at Alter with Anne et Guillaume B.
We celebrated Marie-Claude P. birthday at Cecconi's with Bernard et Pierre.
On a gorgeous Sunday, we drove to Palm Beach with Catherine et François P. to see the unbelievable Isabelle de Borchgrave show: Fashioning Art from Paper, after a very delicious brunch at Café Boulud. Catherine got her shopping fix at The Colonnade outlets before jumping on her plane back to NYC. Not to forget Debbie and Joe V. who stopped by for a few days on their annual Florida Friends Tour, Diane and Christophe D., Marga and Jean - Baptiste B. and Anne et Guillaume daughter & family: Eléonore, Stéphane and Henri C.
And then... Birthday Extravaganza!!!
Sharing with friends and family!
Et la vie continue...
