Paris. September 7, 2017
Paris has always lots of exhibitions to offer. Among many others, La Fondation Louis Vuitton presented an exhibit of some of MoMA’s most famous artworks in its incredible Frank Gehry-designed building. The exhibition, was entitled "Etre Modern: MoMA à Paris".
Whatever they say, Paris is still the most beautiful city in the world. Especially when the weather is like it was in October. Pierre enjoyed taking his Dad for long walks along the Seine, who knew?
We begin our Parisian stay with a week-end in Fontainebleau to celebrate the 35 years-after of Pierre's business school: Insead
Great occasion to see old friends as we go back to the classrooms to enjoy some talks and presentations and feel young and smart again...
A beautiful dinner and ball in the Fontainebleau castle caps this very special week-end.
Back in Paris where we will have the whole month to enjoy friends and family, movies and theaters and a lot of amazing exhibits: Dior at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs celebrating the 70 years of the House of Dior was breathtaking!
Another great stop: Gauguin l'alchimiste at The Grand Palais.
We get to see Isabelle's goddaughter Charlotte R. who leaves in London with her husband and son Maxime. Her visit in Paris was a great opportunity to catch-up with her parents Ariel & Antoine P., great friends we met in NYC 40 years ago and who live nowadays in Paris. So great to be able to visit with them and so many more - Many amazing lunches and dinners!
But it is time to go back home!
