Miami, FL - (Continued). February 1, 2017

Spending the last few months in Miami was not only a good idea weather wise (hard to beat the warm sunny days of South Florida in winter), it also gave us the unique chance and immense pleasure to share our new grand-daughter's life and make sure Charlotte got to know Bella and Nonno early on. Our stay in Miami Beach came with an added benefit, a special treat: the visits of our New York friends.  These visits became quickly wonderful photo-ops in Wynwwod.

And frequent fun lunches & dinners!

With many long walks on the beach (regardless of temperature)...

Not counting the many Acai Bowls breakfasts with Charlotte at Under the Mango Tree, a nice Brazilian organic juice bar next to our apartment. Charlotte loves the acai bowls and the accompaning cookies!

Our Miami life is programed, for a large part, around Miss Charlotte. She sleeps over twice a week, usually on Wednesday and Saturday.

We have become playground experts....

Greatly improved our "patés" skills..

And are now fearless seagulls hunters....

Pierre definitely enjoys his new grandfather role as Nonno.

And Bella cannot get enough of the "calins au lit du matin"...

And the teeth brushing parties.....

This exciting grand-parents schedule still leaves us with plenty time to enjoy the many art exhibits and museums that Miami has to offer. One of our favorite is the Margulies Collection in the Warehouse district of Wynwood.

We love the installation "the language of the birds" by Anselm Kiefer. Legend has it that one who has a pure mind and spirit can understand the language of the birds.... No wonder, we cannot understand a word of what these nice creatures are saying!!

The Miami developer and collector, Martin Z Margulies, has curated a unique and very diverse collection of works from major artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Donald Judd, Dan Flavin, Richard Long, Richard Serra, George Segal, Tony Smith and Michael Heizer.

Mr Margulies has assembled an impressive collection of photographs from all over the world.

and this beautiful set of statues titled "Three Calls: Cast, Plumb, Pass" from Antony Gormley.

We might have visited the Margulies Collection too many times as signaled by Isabelle during our last visit with the Pages?

No! my back and my foot are hurting....

March 3rd, Charlotte is two years old! It is Party Time at Danielle and Arthur's!!

And what more do we need to celebrate such an milestone than Bella's charlotte-au-chocolat and Piononos' strawberry pavlova?

Charlotte is not too sure of what is going on but certainly likes being the center of the attention!

Our American families are celebrating with us: The Valerios and the Landevoisins happened to be in Miami at that time. How cool is that?

It was a great party, time to relax with Bella.

We close the month of March and the end of our stay in Miami on a high note thanks to Beryl and Rex: An afternoon at the Miami Open in the Lacoste Suite!

Luck was in the cards, we watched two great games: Rafael Nadal (Spain) vs. Nicolas Mahut (France) and Roger Federer (Switzerland) vs. Roberto Bautista Agut (Spain).

It is unfortunately time to leave and head back to Austin, we are sad to leave the kids but excited to be "On the Road Again" and see our Texan friends in few days. We will be back in Miami in June for the arrival of #2.

Danielle and Arthur treated us with a wonderful farewell dinner at the Artisan Beach House at the Ritz Carlton in Bal Harbour. Aren't we lucky to have such nice children?

Hasta la vista!
